Inside Before I Failed You
Claire Bennett stood by Ethan Carter for twelve years—eight of them in marriage—enduring hardship by his side. Yet after he achieved success, she suffered his infidelity, a miscarriage, and cruel treatment from his family. While sorting through old belongings, she discovers his teenage diary, which allows them to communicate across time. Heartbroken upon learning of his future misdeeds, the teenage Ethan travels to the present to protect her after seeing the diary stained with blood. The gentle boy heals her and confronts his selfish adult self. However, the adult Ethan's remorse causes the boy to gradually turn transparent. Ultimately, the young Ethan returns to the past, choosing never to fall in love with the young Claire. Years later, the highly successful but lonely Ethan crosses paths with a happy Claire, leaving him in lifelong regret.
