He falls for Barton’s wife Elise, wins over bodyguard Haruko, and secures the San Francisco docks. With evidence in hand, he and FBI Deputy Director Helena plan a final raid—but FBI Director Berke is the mafia’s deepest mole. He and the Rain family spring a trap; Helena is shot. In the battle, Barty kills Berke and Carlos. Dying, Berke reveals Barty and Barton are twin brothers—stolen as infants and groomed to be a mafia mole inside the FBI. Torn between two bloodlines, Barty stands with Elise, Susanna, and Haruko—as Helena, presumed dead, twitches her fingers. Cliffhanger.
